Rene Marie Russo, an American actress and filmmaker who was a former supermodel is also a director of films. Rene Marie Russo from America is an actress, filmmaker and former supermodel. She's known for her grace and beauty. Her long-standing presence within the competitive film world is evidence of her abilities as actor. In the 70s, she started modeling which quickly made her a recognizable person in the world of modeling. At the beginning of 1990 she began to study the theatre and acting. In the years following, after that, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearance. Russo was first seen on screen on ABCs drama series Sable in 1987, playing the role of Eden Kendell. In her debut film Major League two years after, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Though she initially was sceptical about her potential as an actor, public was enthralled by her solid performance. Her praise was for her role as Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak and also in Outbreak, where she performed against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. But, as she admits she's never really been that passionate in acting. She self-imposed a long break in 2005. Her return came with a role in the superhero flick Thor. The film also featured her in the Oscar winner film Nightcrawler which was directed by her husband. The Intern, and Just Getting Started were humorous comedies where she was the lead.

Her early days were spent as an amateur boxer who competed in regional promotions prior to joining Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she joined UFC Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her success in and out of the Octagon has created her as an international brand after she entered the UFC. Namajunas was born June 29th 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrant family. Rose was a kickboxer and basketball player as a child. Invicta Fighting Championships gave her their first professional appearance at age 18, when she defeated two competitors. Dana White noticed this and when she was in December 2014 at the age of 22 she signed Rose for UFC's strawweight division. Rose is a fighter who has seen highs and lows throughout her professional career, but she always comes out triumphant. Rose took on Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April of 2015. The winner was awarded with the Women s Strawweight Championship and as well, was awarded Fighter of The Night. It was also the first time a female took on a promotion with a significant title. Namajunas kept winning other victories, including 2 victories against Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
