Firefly was Whedon's next hit show, and she must have really created a buzz. Summer Glau's River Tam was a complicated character which Glau managed with ease. The character of Tam was made to take part in tests conducted by the government, where she was trained as an assassin. The capacity of Tam to regulate her emotions was taken away from her. The show Firefly Glau was able to show off not only her acting ability but also her fighting skills. Glau was able to make the most of her athletic skills since she was trained as a sleuth. Summer Glau is a classically trained ballerina. Summer Glau's dancing skills include flamenco, tango, and a variety of other types. However, a fractured toe cut off her career. Firefly had a brief run of one season, but it gained a loyal audience. Whedon returned to the show after a few years. In the meantime though, Summer Glau continued to receive some prestigious work. The actress was on television shows such as Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
