Kellie pickler
Kellie Pickler is one of "American Idol's" greatest contestants, even if she wasn't able to win the show's title. Her birth name was Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986 in Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albemarle to Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. As she got pregnant the mother of her child was only sixteen years old. Her childhood was hard for her due to her father's addiction to drugs and alcohol, even though her mother had divorced from her in the age of just two. Morton gained the custody rights of Pickler for two years. However, Pickler acknowledged that not all went as planned. "I was in the kitchen with my mother, when I asked her: 'I prefer to die rather than remain here.' The girl took out a knife and set it down upon the counter and told"Here's how to do it now.' The time was fourth grade. It's a shame I didn't act on it. The incident left the impression of a long-lasting emotional wound. Pickler was given her grandparents by the court when she reached 12 years old. Morton failed to appear for the hearing. Pickler was nurtured by her parents throughout her entire life. She cited them as the major influence on her life. The grandmother Faye Pickler died from lung cancer in January 2002. she was subsequently with her father. Pickler graduated from The North Stanly High school situated in New London, North Carolina.
