Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican producer and actress. Her career started in Mexico and she appeared in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. She soon established herself in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) as well as Dogma (1999). Hayek's performance as Frida Kahlo as a painter, in Frida (2002), a biographical film she produced that earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. She also received her Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Hayek played the lead in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico films over the next time and then devoted herself to producing.
